Baby Room 3mnths-2 yrs

Our Tiniest Snuglets spend their time learning through play in an environment filled with rich sensory experiences designed and created by our Snug team.

Each baby has their own personal routines cared for by their key person who they begin building strong, positive relationships with from day one.

The Baby room is a place where tiny humans are safe and secure enough to take their first steps, taste first tastes, take calculated risks and get super, super messy! The Baby room is where the foundation for the rest of their learning is built. It is here they make first friends, begin to learn to take turns, say first words and develop curiosity, bravery and a sense of self.

In partnership with parents, The Snug Team work hard to support development of communication using stories, songs and talk time. We champion the voice of the child, actively listening to every babble, repeating and responding using full words and eye contact, always using open questioning and an ‘I wonder’ approach.

All of these learning opportunities are continued and extended using the outdoors. Our garden and the local surrounding area bring new and exciting experiences for our babies. Painting with blackberries, taking a trip down the slide, going on a bug hunt or taking a walk to see what we can hear are just some of the ways our babies enjoy the wild.
